Workout of the Day (WOD)

Monday 8/22/11

Keep the handstand pictures coming.  I'll keep posting them until I run out of CFIB'ers handstanding in fun and/or unusual places.  So put your thinking caps on and have some fun.

I'm on a boat, I'm on a boat...uhh uhh I'm on a Boat!!  Chris S. and Robbie knocking out the handstand while Joey playing it cool and showing off the gunz.

Strength:  Split Squat(Lunge)

WOD:  8 Minutes

First Row 500m

Then Run 400m

with the remaining time of the 8 minutes AMRAP the following

5 Deadlift (185/115)

3 Power Clean (185/115)

*Hint, move fast and limit your rest.  Time will go by fast, so have fun :-)

Show me who you are

As my kids get older I'm coming up with my own parenting tips.  When I think they are hanging out with the wrong crowd, wrong friends or doing things that I consider unsafe.  I'll go to their party, concert, group of friends or whatever and do the following dance.   This will help them realize how uncool it is and get them back to the house to study.  It makes sense in my head so I'm sure it will work.

Even though he didn't qualify for the 2011 CrossFit Games, it didn't stop him.
