Our classes in the morning and during the day will run as normal. Pick a WOD and we'll knock that out. The evening we will run the WODs in heats all night, then hang out, cheer others on and have a little fun. If you want to do one of the other WODs instead of the Open wOD in the evening, you're more than welcome, we'll make room and get it done. If you're not doing the Open don't feel obligated to do 7 minutes of burpees. If you're registered for the CrossFit Open, yes you're obligated to do a lot of burpees :-)
So you think Burpees are boring? Here is a conversation I had with one of our members about how to make the 7 minutes of burpees fun, besides the rest of the gym cheering you on and motivating you this 7 minute grind.
CFIB’er: Hey Ron, burpees are boring. We should have a theme on Friday to make the burpees spicier.
Me: Sure what did you have in mind
CFIB’er: What are your thoughts on an 80’s theme or something where I can wear a tube top….that’d be fun right.
Me: Sure that sounds fun but why a tube top, aren’t you worried about popping out.
CFIB’er: that’s part of the fun, burpees are boring so this will bring some excitement to it, so seriously can I wear short shorts and a tube top.
Me: Just you and nobody else, I don’t want this to turn into that kind of party.
CFIB’er: Yeah just me wearing a tube top
Me: Go ahead.
So watch out for Joey wearing a tube top and short shorts. He's keeping it spicy
