Workout of the Day (WOD)

Tuesday 7/9/13

Yes, it’s officially summer in Seattle which means bbq’s, vacations, the beach, and hanging out by the pool.  Just because it's summer does not mean that our nutrition has to fall by the wayside.

It is easy to stay Paleo, Zone and clean eating during the summer months.  When you are headed out of town bring, some fruit and veggies as snacks (you should be doing this on a regular basis when you go to work or other activities anyway).  Also, it’s super easy to grill up a burger (no bun) or a steak.  Add a sweet potato to a steak dinner at a restaurant and you’ve got yourself a Paleo dinner.

If it’s going to be a night of drinking, make better drink choices.  Instead of fruity sugary drinks or beer have a vodka tonic, or better yet, tequila with lime juice.

Summer gives us plenty of opportunities to let our nutrition fall apart, don’t be a victim this summer.  Work hard, play hard and eat clean.

In case you didn’t know, we are having a CrossFit Interbay Summer BBQ July 20th at Ryan, Olga, DK and Emily’s apartment.  They have a nice deck on top of the building that can support a large group to BBQ, have a few beverages and hang out.  Mark it on your calendars, July 20th 4pm-???? 901 Dexter Ave. North.  You will hear more about this between now and then.
