Workout of the Day (WOD)

Monday 2/27/12

2012 CrossFit Open WOD 12.1 is done and in the books.  Congrats to everyone that did it and cheered each other on because it helped.  Let's break it down:  We are currently 10th in our Region, 100th in the world.  What does that mean?  Over 2,000 gyms are represented in the CrossFit Open world wide this year.  We are currently in the top 5% of the gyms in the world.  Congrats, very solid first week. 

4 more weeks to go with the final week ending like the first one started......BBQ Finale.

If you want scores and numbers from our gym, find us at  We had some amazing numbers - James McLean did the WOD his first time and got 107 then, decided to do it again with a goal of 109-110 and wound up doing 120 burpees.  Kay also had a humongous improvement.  Her first time at it she did 89 burpees.  She came in on Sunday and knocked out 103.....seriously - 103 - big big jump.  Robert Batka did the wod in the morning class and decided to come back that evening and do it again for a combined total of 150+ burpees, (I think its safe to say that he is craaazzyyy in love with Burpees:-) )  We had a lot of big moments and Im sorry I can't list them all.  Let's keep this up and feel free to post what you saw or how you felt in the comments.  Share your pr's, excitement and feelings of how you felt or what you saw of others in the gym.

Special Friday night CrossFit Open kick off.  Floor was torn up to raise the heights, extra bars were put up, burpees were done, beers were consumed and all around fun madness :-)
